Jewel tone wedding at Skyview at Fall River Village

This two story, rooftop venue is Estes Park's newest venue.  Skyview is located at the Fall River Village condos.  And I had the pleasure to be involved in their very first wedding ever.

Obviously the views are amazing from their mountain side ceremony deck.

The venue spoils with modern LED lights, cross back chairs and luxurious ivory linens.

And look at these stately chairs for the bride and groom, all included!

Agate place cards atop navy napkins, wood chargers and gold filigree placemats add absolutely gorgeous dimensions.

Harry Potter Wedding

Every once in a while, I get to be part of a storybook wedding, literally.  Della Terra Mountain Chateaux in Estes Park was the perfect backdrop for this winter Harry Potter themed wedding.

The head table was appropriately numbered table 9 3/4 with greenery garland and yellow orchids down the center.

Each place setting had a wand for the guest labeling the event as "The Unbreakable Vow."  And of course a sweet treat, a Ferrero Roche Golden Snitch.

The couple's glassware shared their appropriate house loyalty, his Slytherin, and hers Hufflepuff.

And of course they needed the appropriately whimsical, topsy-turvy cake to match.

Chinoiserie

noun chi·noi·se·rie \shēn-ˈwäz-rē   :  a style in art (as in decoration) reflecting Chinese qualities or motifs; also  :  an object or decoration in this style

Chinoiserie was listed as one of the top 2015 trends for weddings.
I admittedly did not know what the word Chinoiserie meant, nor how to pronounce it.
So of course, I scoured photos on the web depicting this wedding theme and enjoyed putting together a few collages of my favorites.

Dickens Opera House 2015 Wedding Show

{Real Parties}

I love when an event all comes together due to the high caliber of the wedding professionals involved.  The Dickens Opera House has never looked so lovely.  I was happy to put this successful wedding show together.

Lighting and Design by Scott set up their "LOVE" letters as well as some colorful uplighting on the stage.

Candlelight Ambiance styled a beautiful mock reception table. Linens, glassware and table settings compliments of All Events Rentals.

Chair covers were arranged through Seated Elegance.

Another mock reception table was designed by White Tree Events.  What fun geometric shapes!

A scrumptious array of hors d'oeuvres was provided by The Dickens Opera House

La Momo Maes brought the treats.

Here's my booth.  I went with a pink, gold and teal theme.

I had lots of fun crafting paper flowers with glitter, painting vases and making big balloon streamers.

Photo Booth of the Rockies set up a super fun Photo Booth area with props galore.

My friend Reverend Kim Tavendale was there.

Ehren Dodson showcased some of my favorite jewelry via Stella and Dot.

We had two great photographers at the show.  Nicole Nichols Photography:

and Hillside Studios, who generously provided all of the photos that are viewed in this blog post.

I look forward to planning Dickens Opera House's 2016 wedding show!

Catherine and Julie's Chautauqua Wedding

The wedding was months ago but going through the gorgeous photographs again gives me chills, remembering the day; how much love and hope and positive energy surrounded Catherine and Julie.  Almost every picture of these girls shows them smiling ear to ear.  They love each other, a lot.  And it's no wonder why. Catherine and Julie were not only some of my most favorite brides, but are some of my most favorite people.  Their hearts are huge and after planning their destination wedding in Colorado (they live in Los Angeles,) I am happy to now call them my friends.

The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn in front of Chautauqua Dining Hall in Boulder Colorado, with the flatirons looming.

Soft bouquets of peonies, garden roses and hydrangea were created by Painted Primrose.  I enjoyed spending the day with the girls at my wholesale floral warehouse to pick out blooms for complementary centerpieces for the tables.

Catherine's family brought homemade jars of jam to give as favors.

On the morning of the wedding, the banquet captain at Chautauqua offered to share with us a vintage suitcase that he had just found at an estate sale, to use to keep cards in.

The reception was held in the tent behind the dining hall with a wonderful (mostly) vegan menu provided by Three Leaf Catering.

My first visit to Chautauqua was in preparation for this wedding and wow, what a cool place!  I can see why North Carolina native, Catherine was drawn to the historic buildings, adorable cabins and stunning views.  Julie went to school in Boulder and has fond memories of the area.  They were excited to share this special place with their family and friends.

Their cake was provided by Louisville's The Huckleberry.

Julie's smile is seriously contagious!

Did I mention that Catherine is a Hollywood movie star?

The whole wedding party is fit for a magazine cover.  How cute are those kids in their suspenders?

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention all of the other amazing vendors that had a hand in putting this dream wedding together.  Husband and wife photography team: Jamie Fischer Photography, Ceremony musicians: A Lyric Ensemble, Disc Jockey: Thomas Gutherie, and makeup by Bre Ortola with Alchemy Mineral Blends.

Thank you Julie and Catherine for allowing me the privilege to be a part of your special day.  I can think of very few people who deserve all of the happiness that the two of you do.
