The Dickens Opera House (and I) recently had the honor to be participating vendors at the Third Annual Denver Gay and Lesbian Wedding Expo.
The expo took place at the Denver Magnolia Hotel Ballroom. The room was very contemporary but had character. High ceilings and lots of windows made the ballroom look expansive and they can fit up to 200 guests. (The Dickens Opera House can accommodate up to 300.) Large pillars and crystal chandeliers gave the room a regal look.
Since the expo took place right before Halloween, I went with a fall-themed tablescape. Sometimes I feel as though orange and black is overdone at Halloween, so I chose a black, silver and gold color palette. We had the black feathers and gold vases from a wedding we had done and the gold picks from a previous bridal show. I added gold and glittered pumpkins and leaves
I knew I wanted to give out some sort of edible goodies and found pumpkin spice Hershey's kisses in gold foil wrappers. I embellished them by displaying them in mini gold cupcake wrappers. I also passed out gift certificate cards good for $100 off a room rental which I decorated with silk flowers and pearl tacks.
Everyone is welcome at the Dickens Opera House and likewise, Little Bird Celebrations is excited to help plan ANY type of event. Same Love, Same Rights!
love!
